Our Story

In 2021, Daniel Streim founded STREIM with a singular vision: to create luxury sneakers that honour his family's decades-long legacy in premium footwear. As the son of Hartog Streim, founder of the iconic Amsterdam shoe retailer Shoebaloo, Daniel grew up surrounded by the world's finest shoes and the craftsmen who made them.

Where his father built a destination for luxury footwear in the heart of Amsterdam, Daniel set out to build a brand from the ground up — one that would carry the Streim name into a new era of design and craftsmanship.

Handcrafted in Puglia, Italy

Every STREIM sneaker is handcrafted in Puglia, southern Italy, a region celebrated for its leatherworking traditions dating back centuries. Our artisans work with the finest Italian materials — from buttery-soft full-grain leather and supple suede to breathable technical mesh — ensuring every pair meets the highest standards of quality and comfort.

Each sneaker passes through dozens of hands during production. Cutting, stitching, lasting, and finishing are all done by skilled craftspeople who take pride in their work. The result is footwear that looks as good after hundreds of wears as it does on day one.

STREIM is rooted in Amsterdam — a city known for its creative spirit, understated elegance, and forward-thinking design culture. Our studio on the Keizersgracht, one of Amsterdam's most storied canals, is where every collection begins. Here, we sketch, prototype, and refine each silhouette until it perfectly balances contemporary style with timeless wearability.
